Overview
Remote candidates welcome! We’re a high-performance mortgage team dedicated to providing an exceptional borrower and referral partner experience. We believe in communication, speed, and closing loans on time—every time. We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Loan Partner 2 (LP2) to help us close 95%+ of loans on time while delivering white‑glove service from application to funding. This position will support 2‑4 Mortgage Loan officers with an expected file volume of 10‑20 closings monthly and 30‑40 preapprovals monthly.
Responsibilities
Prequalify Borrowers :
Contact new borrower(s) within 24 hours of assignment
Thoroughly review the 1003 and collect the required documents
Analyze cash, credit, income (capacity), and collateral to assess qualification
Keep borrowers and agents informed of next steps
Pre‑Approve Borrowers :
Accurately pre‑approve all eligible borrowers and identify red flags early
Provide payment scenarios and supplemental pre‑approval documents
Proactively communicate with realtors and borrowers
Expedite urgent pre‑approval requests
Dedicate weekly time to follow up with pre‑approved buyers
Manage the Pipeline :
Onboard new contracts and schedule Rate Lock Consultations
Submit files to Processing for disclosures
Perform daily “gauge checks” to identify and resolve chokepoints
Lead Tuesday Update Calls and handle pre‑closing and funding check‑ins
Ensure 95%+ of loans close on time without needing to escalate to the LO
Qualifications
Ability to effectively work in a strong team‑oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients
Comprehension of basic loan financing options such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, commercial loans, etc.
Active NMLS license is required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of mortgage experience (processing, underwriting, or origination)
Proficient with DU/DO, LP
Experience with LOS software (Encompass, Calyx Point, etc.)
Strong communication, time management, and follow‑through skills
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Tech‑savvy with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
Compensation $40,000 – $50,000 yearly
