DLO Phlebotomy Service Rep I

Quest Diagnostics – Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma, Midwest City, OK. Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm. Job Description

Essential functions include collecting blood and urine specimens from oncology patients, pulling patient orders from EPIC, accessioning patient information and tests into the Cerner system, processing all specimen types, and communicating effectively and politely with internal and external customers. Responsibilities

Utilize venipuncture techniques with vacutainer needles, hubs, butterfly devices, safety needles, and syringes. Handle large volumes of patients in a timely manner. Work collaboratively with all DLO departments and customers. Be prepared to work early, stay late, or additional days as needed. Qualifications

Proficiency in collecting blood specimens from all age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics. Ability to use multiple computer systems and keyboard. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Physical And Mental Requirements

Lift light to moderately heavy objects (1–15 lbs frequently, 16–25 lbs occasionally, 26–40 lbs seldom, >41 lbs not without assistance). Must sit or stand for long periods; requires long hours of eye and hand coordination. Perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently throughout the day. Position may require travel. Extensive use of phone and PC. Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness. Talk, walk, balance, bend/kneel, push/pull, reach/twist. About The Team
