Responsibilities Radiologic Technologist Duties

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x‑ray rooms, providing verbal and/or written instructions, and assisting in positioning body parts for imaging.

Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, setting exposure parameters according to examination specifications and regulatory standards.

Use radiation safety measures and protective devices to safeguard patients and staff.

Ensure equipment integrity; report malfunctions to Center Operations Director.

Follow radiology workflows and confirm accurate EMR coding for all reports.

Complete required documentation for each patient x‑ray visit.

Maintain x‑ray equipment: calibration, QA/QC procedures, and record‑keeping per current policy.

Medical Assistant Duties

Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non‑DOT drug and alcohol testing.

Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing (vaccines, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiograms, respirator fit).

Conduct rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).

Assist providers during examination and treatment.

Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by the treating clinician and triage emergent patients as needed.

Assist clinicians with procedure set‑up and injury care.

Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered.

Dispense medications and durable medical equipment per state regulations.

Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices.

Maintain supplies, clean rooms, and stock exam rooms.

Operate all medical devices, ensuring calibration and record‑keeping.

Notify supervisor immediately of equipment failures or supply deficiencies.

Support patient flow and volume in partnership with center leadership.

Inform patients of expected wait times during their visit.

Handle clerical tasks in front and back office, ensuring accurate record‑keeping.

Ensure documentation accuracy.

Perform front office duties: greet patients, obtain authorization, check‑in/out, communicate wait times, answer multi‑line telephone system, and distribute employer results or paperwork.

Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.

Attend center staff meetings or huddles as required.

Assist in maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly facility appearance.

Complete all applicable training, including monthly clinical competency training.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology school with state certification.

Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and holding an active, valid certification.

CPR/First Aid certification.

At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.

Preferred: Experience with occupational medicine requirements and prior medical office or customer service roles.

Outstanding customer service skills and professionalism.

Ability to manage sensitive confidential information (HIPAA/PHI) per federal and state laws.

Participation in initial and ongoing training required.

Certification in Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol, Hair, and Oral Fluids Collection.

Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
