UBEO Business Services, the premier provider of business technology products and services, is seeking to hire a Technical Trainer to join our team in San Antonio, TX.

UBEO is a distributor/servicer of document equipment and software solutions. Primary products include Xerox, Ricoh, Canon and Konica Minolta multi-functional equipment and Kyocera printers. UBEO specializes in electronic document management software and integrations.

Purpose This position is responsible for performing technical training for all UBEO locations. Functions of the job include delivering superior service quality and technical instruction to all UBEO personnel. The role seeks to improve service levels, productivity, profitability, customer and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical instruction for all UBEO personnel.

Create and deliver training materials to improve service quality and performance.

Request and track travel requests, and verify prerequisites for participants.

Set up, maintain, and clean up the training environment, including equipment maintenance.

Demonstrate professionalism and exemplary customer service inside and outside the classroom.

Maintain a safe, professional, and healthy training environment following organizational and manufacturer standards.

Assist in training and development of service personnel, analyzing training needs and identifying improvement opportunities.

Coordinate with the Director of Service Training, Regional Directors of Service, and Branch Field Service Managers to schedule training courses.

Communicate and liaise with senior management and manufacturers to ensure compliance training and a conducive classroom environment.

Collaborate across functional groups to align departmental goals with overall UBEO strategic objectives.

Track and schedule training activities within the service department.

Maintain standards and conduct factory‑certified training for multiple vendors.

Monitor technology development and convergence to keep the service organization aligned.

Manage utilization of internal and external assets to achieve financial targets and create value for UBEO and its service organization.

Interact with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration courteously and professionally.

Complete all administrative aspects of the job accurately and on time.

Perform additional duties that support UBEO Business Services and the service organization.

Qualifications

High School or GED or equivalent with some higher education in a specific functional area

Previous technical training experience (preferred)

Leadership training or experience (preferred)

6+ years industry experience or previous management experience

Technical aptitude and proficiency

Computer/Networking related skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent presentation and communication skills

A+ & N+ certifications (preferred)

CompTIA VCTT+ certification – to be acquired within 3 years of starting position

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel to training sites.

Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods at times.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs on occasion.

Ability to travel to different locations on a consistent basis.

Ability to work/travel on weekends as required.

Ability to work evenings as required for specific training classes.
