Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical HVAC Engineer opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
Position Overview As a Mechanical Engineer, you will ensure client goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters within nuclear operations and engineering. Focus on tackling the toughest challenges as you support the development of life‑changing infrastructure that improves communities across the United States.
Qualifications
Must have at least 5 years of design experience with HVAC
Minimum Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
Demonstrated experience delivering a range of projects from concept through detailed design completion
Must be competent using discipline specific technical software such as: REVIT, Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, PipeFlo, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, etc.
Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and within the client organization
Preferred Qualifications
PE license preferred
NQA-1 experience
Previous experience working with teaming subcontractors to produce a consolidated design
Previous DOE Nuclear project experience
Active Q clearance or eligibility to obtain a “Q”
Current or former US security clearance
A person residing a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge, TN office
Other Job Requirements
Sole United States Citizenship
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security clearance. Active clearance is a plus.
