Sous Chef
– Los Angeles, CA – Eurest USA.
Salary: $70,000-$80,000 per year. Full‑time. Entry level.
Job Summary As Sous Chef, you will lead the Culinary Department at a corporate café and executive dining venue. You will assist the Executive Chef in menu development, cost control, and event catering, and supervise kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef with menu planning, cost control, and kitchen operations.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring quality, presentation, and sanitation.
Produce and execute catering events and culinary programs.
Supervise hourly kitchen staff and collaborate with the culinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
A.S. in Culinary Arts or equivalent; progressive kitchen management experience.
Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations; institutional/ batch cooking desired.
Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, and food cost controls.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email.
ServSafe certification – highly desirable.
