Senior Sous Chef – Compass Group USA
Join the CCL Hospitality Group’s culinary team as a Senior Sous Chef. The role supports the Executive Chef in menu development, cost control, and the preparation of high-volume, high-quality food.
Compensation Pay Grade 13 – Salary $75,000 - $78,000 per year.
Job Summary You will assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls, menu planning, catering events, and the rollout of new culinary programs. You will also supervise hourly associates and collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menus and ordering processes. This position requires an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional with strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account.
Assist in planning and creating menus.
Produce and execute catering events.
Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and the culinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or a culinary certificate and required experience.
Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training.
Catering experience is a plus.
High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience – highly desirable.
Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful.
Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email, and the Internet.
Must be willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities.
ServSafe certified – highly desirable.
