Senior Sous Chef

Salary:
$65,000 – $68,000
Job Summary As the Senior Sous Chef, you will support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary operations of a large‑scale facility. Your responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, preparing and garnishing dishes, developing daily menus, and ensuring quality and cost controls. This role is an opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional to contribute to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account.
Assist the Executive Chef with menu planning and creation.
Produce and execute catering events.
Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience.
Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
Catering experience is a plus.
High‑volume, complex foodservice operations experience – highly desirable.
Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful.
Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Must be experienced with computers; include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, e‑mail, and the Internet.
Must be willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities.
ServSafe certification – highly desirable.
