Guest service fundamentals and guest-first culture across the store
Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions, and basic visual merchandising
Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
Set, fill, and price the floor according to guest priorities
Responsibilities
Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist guests
Use store tools to understand sales and inventory, and support guest needs
Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs
Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales
Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing fills and merchandising to capacity
Maintain backroom organization to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests
Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience
Support price changes and clearance merchandising with signed signage
Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests
Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service to the sales floor
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
Support guest services including back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while complying with applicable laws
Greet guests and assist with their shopping needs; thank guests for shopping at Target
All other duties as needed by business

Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories

Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate scanners and technology as directed
Effective communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team
Ability to resolve guest questions quickly and stay focused in a fast-paced environment
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
climb ladders; lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance required
Work in varying temperatures and conditions; movement required for scheduled shifts
