Executive Chef
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Adhere to the company’s mandated F&B menu and purchasing programs.
Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow; review monthly profit & loss statements and make adjustments as necessary.
Work with the Operations team and Sales staff to plan, supervise, and execute all events, supervising the preparation and service of all food and beverage, assist with cooking when needed, and manage cleanup.
Estimate food consumption and make purchases as appropriate from our specified food program; schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume.
Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high‑performing kitchen staff, developing sous chefs and lead cooks.
Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards; supervise portions, garnishing, and storage.
Facilitate kitchen equipment maintenance, conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations, reporting critical issues to the General Manager.
Comply with all operational and safety standards, maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment.
WHO YOU ARE You’re an experienced Executive Chef with strong customer‑service focus, excellent interpersonal/communication skills, and proven profit and loss management capability. You take accountability for your team and possess exceptional organizational skills. You lead a team of lead cooks, cooks, dishwashers, and servers, supporting the center’s General Manager on all food‑related matters. Experience in catering or special events is desirable but not essential.
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
5+ Years of kitchen management / Executive Chef experience.
Bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred.
Experience in high‑volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required.
Extensive experience in banquet‑style events.
Experience managing and developing teams required.
Current ServSafe certification required.
ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Typical entertainment center environment: walk, bend, stand for periods of time, lift objects with some assistance.
