Grants and Contracts Specialist

to support CRI faculty and labs in research grant proposal development, submission, financial management, forecasting, review, and interpretation of complex policies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and accurate. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manage pre- and post-award grant activities for an assigned portfolio of grants and contracts within several laboratories. Prepare financial models and conduct analyses. Complete complex monthly financial reports, review for errors, analyze variances, and develop recommendations. Oversee review, reconciliation, and projection of award finances, including budget adjustments, financial reporting, and award closeout. Prepare and supervise monthly and annual financial reports for various agencies, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations. Apply knowledge of grant management rules, regulations, SOPs, and federal guidelines related to research grants and contracts. Ideal Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field, with at least two years’ experience in business or public administration, especially in financial or contracting roles. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask accurately in a busy environment. Energetic self-starter and critical thinker. Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts independently. Experience in grants management/administration preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of budgets and financial record-keeping. Experience with PeopleSoft financial system preferred. Seniority level
