$13.00 – $18+ per hour base pay plus up to 12% commission and monthly bonus. Assistant salon managers can earn an average of $13.00 – $17.00+ per hour, with top‑performing managers earning even more. Responsibilities
Recruit, select, orient, and retain salon staff. Train, motivate, mentor, and provide feedback to sales staff to achieve sales and performance goals. Schedule and assign employees; follow up on work results and operational requirements. Monitor controllable expenses (labor, cost of sales, other expenses) to achieve financial objectives. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and maintain salon stability and reputation. Manage salon cleanliness, stocking, and overall readiness. Build rapport with customers to foster loyalty and long‑term relationships. Create a positive, motivating, team‑based environment. Investigate and resolve customer concerns promptly. Analyze daily sales and expense information; perform financial analysis to maximize sales and net profits. Safeguard and account for all money received and fulfill banking requirements. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven experience in a retail or customer‑service environment. One year of supervisory experience. Ability to positively influence others. Physical ability to stand, bend, walk for 7+ hours per day and lift 25 pounds without assistance.
