A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, bringing the energy of style to life with in-store presentations that enable quick and easy self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests’ needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is set full with the right product, prices, and sizes, styles, and colors. Role development: Target believes in meaningful experiences that help Team Members build and develop skills for a career. The Style Consultant role provides skills and experiences including guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals, industry trends, and merchandising practices. Responsibilities
Drive sales and maintain a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signing, and remaining knowledgeable about assortment and brand offerings to assist guests. Use store tools to understand sales and inventory, and to support guest needs. Sort freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom as needed. Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales. Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity. Maintain backroom organization and locate merchandise to support replenishment and guest requests. Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience. Support price change processes and signage execution for clearance merchandising. Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests. Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise from the fitting room and guest service back to the sales floor as needed. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards. Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU) while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws). Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and assisting with their needs. Thank guests and convey appreciation for shopping at Target. All other duties based on business needs. Qualifications

Skills and prerequisites: Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology Effective communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to resolve guest questions quickly Calm and focused under pressure and able to accomplish tasks within timeframes Additional basics we expect: Accurate handling of cash register operations as needed Ability to climb ladders Safe handling and movement of merchandise, including lifting up to 15 lbs frequently and up to 44 lbs occasionally Flexible work schedule, reliable attendance Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout) Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift Benefits and accommodations
