Position Overview As a CDL Driver, you will supply materials to customers throughout the region, representing PACE Supply on the road and at delivery sites. Professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
Schedule Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with opportunities for overtime.
What We’re Looking For
Valid CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
Friendly, professional, and respectful when interacting with clients.
Committed to safe driving practices and daily vehicle inspections.
Able to load/unload materials and assist with deliveries as needed.
Core Responsibilities
Strategically plan delivery routes, taking into account traffic, weather, and road conditions to ensure timely deliveries.
Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are properly secured.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical or safety issues.
Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and provide updates.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
Adhere to hours-of-service regulations, taking required breaks to ensure compliance and avoid fatigue-related risks.
Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to keep vehicles in optimal operating condition.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out, to uphold a professional appearance and ensure safety.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Valid Hawaii Class B or Class A CDL, at least 21 years of age.
Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Medical Examiner’s Certificate and registration with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience operating Class B or A commercial vehicles.
Prior delivery experience in wholesale or warehouse environments strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of commercial driving laws and regulations, including safety procedures and accident protocols.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and long driving hours.
Basic proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communication.
Good organizational skills with the ability to group, sort, and sequence items effectively.
