Harrison Design is seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Job Captain with 3–5 years of experience to join our Los Angeles team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for high‑end residential architecture and a desire to build a long‑term career as part of our team. You’ll be involved in multiple projects from conceptual design through construction observation, with a focus on producing detailed construction documents and coordinating across disciplines. You’ll support project managers in all phases of design & documentation and manage junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and production of permit & construction documents
Manage & oversee junior team members
Collaborate with project teams to ensure design intent is executed
Develop 3D models and visualizations
Coordinate project documentation
Participate in client meetings and site visits
Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the design process
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in architecture (or equivalent)
Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in architectural design
Strong understanding of construction documentation and detailing
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in‑person and manage local travel as needed
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Sketch‑Up and Lumion preferred), Excel, and the Adobe Creative Suite
