Air Export Agent | Wood Dale, Illinois | Hybrid work schedule The Air Export Agent will manage end-to-end air export operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of international cargo. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of air export shipments from booking to final delivery.
Prepare and process export documentation including MAWB/HAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings, and Letters of Instruction.
Communicate with airlines, co-loaders, trucking companies, and overseas partners to ensure efficient cargo movement.
Track and trace shipments, proactively addressing delays or exceptions.
Provide accurate and timely customer updates and maintain strong client relationships.
Ensure compliance with TSA, U.S. Customs, and international export regulations.
Arrange cargo pickup, consolidation, and delivery to airline terminals.
Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors as needed.
Maintain shipment data within company systems and prepare billing/invoicing.
Support continuous improvement efforts in operational efficiency and customer service.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in air export operations within freight forwarding (required).
Strong knowledge of TSA regulations, AES filings, and export compliance.
Familiarity with airline bookings, cargo terminals, and international documentation.
Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
