Position Overview
Full‑time 40 hrs/week. Salary: $53,089.86 – $84,943.56 per year. 20% travel. Business‑casual attire.
The Account Manager – SG/MM/SM (Small Group/Mid‑Market/Special Market) provides customer support and account management for assigned clients. This role is the point of contact for existing clients, maintaining positive relationships and maximizing sales opportunities during renewal.
Responsibilities
Focus on retaining and growing existing accounts.
Promote local service club and community involvement and attend local events.
Craft targeted strategies designed to meet specific client needs and provide product recommendations.
Meet regularly with assigned client accounts and ensure consistent satisfaction.
Provide information about changes to products, underwriting policies, and billing procedures.
Deliver member or client materials as needed.
Support open enrollment meetings and provide client trainings, if applicable.
Identify additional sales opportunities during renewal.
Maintain knowledge of company products in the healthcare industry, new service offerings, policies, procedures and regulations.
Keep clients informed about company initiatives and programs highlighting the benefits to the consumer.
Collaborate with internal team members to ensure smooth implementation and coordination of renewal and sales activities.
Ensure necessary documentation is completed and internal systems updated.
Develop a professional rapport with clients to enhance ongoing business relationships.
Travel outside the core business location is required.
Requirements
Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare or related field.
Three years of sales, marketing, account management or related experience.
Must have or obtain ND Insurance Producer License, including passing the Accident & Health and Life & Annuity exams within 3 months of hire and maintaining continuing education annually.
Must maintain an active and valid/unencumbered driver's license allowing standard driving privileges in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Demonstrates a proactive, professional approach to customer engagement, ensuring positive experiences through attentive listening and timely support.
Applies technical expertise and professional judgment to resolve issues and contribute to team goals effectively.
Communicates clearly and confidently in both verbal and written formats, tailoring messages to diverse audiences and ensuring mutual understanding.
Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages resources to meet deadlines and support operational efficiency.
Responds well to changing priorities and environments, maintaining productivity and a positive attitude under pressure.

Location Minot, ND office. Involves frequent travel to the Williston, ND region.
