Housekeeping Assistant

Responsibilities
Clean patient bathrooms including sinks, toilets, tubs and showers
Empty garbage cans in patient rooms, bathrooms, activity areas, and other areas of the center
Clean patient rooms (mopping/buffing floors, dusting furniture on top and underneath)
Clean hallways (sweep, mop, strip, and buff following company and center policies)
Clean walls, furniture and equipment as needed to provide a clean, pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Work safely, following proper procedures when using chemical agents
Follow established cleaning schedules
Other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
Must be able to work rotational weekends
Must be able to read and understand Standard English
Must be flexible, a team player, and have a positive attitude
Must enjoy working with geriatric and other healthcare patients
Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, fellow employees, and visitors
Qualified applicants must be on feet 7‑8 hours a day, lift heavy objects, and work with standard cleaning chemicals.
