Pay ranges from $15.99 to $18.95 per hour ($23.99 to $28.43 per hour with overtime) from April 1, 2026 to November 8, 2026. Responsibilities include inspecting and cleaning food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensuring freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Ensuring food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Seasoning and cooking food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Turning or stirring foods to ensure even cooking. Observing and testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Portioning, arranging, and garnishing food, and serving food to waiters or patrons. Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment. Baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Estimating expected food consumption, requisitioning or purchasing supplies, or procuring food from storage. Substituting for or assisting other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Preparing relishes and hors d'oeuvres. Carving and trimming meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for hot or cold service, or for sandwiches. Baking breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries. Butchering and dressing animals, fowl, or shellfish, or cutting and boning meat prior to cooking. Cleaning food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment. Work locations will be at establishments located at 601 N Huron, 331, 401 E Central, 201-726, 825-1143 S Huron, all in Mackinaw City, MI and all within walking distance. Optional employer sponsored health insurance through Blue Care Network is available as payroll deductions of 9.96% of W-2 wages or $630.92 per month, whichever amount is less. Acceptance of employer sponsored health insurance plan is not a condition for employment. If health insurance is elected, payroll deductions of the premium set forth above will be deducted from the employee's paycheck. The work week runs from Friday to Thursday. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law.
