Key Job Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures

Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building

Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.

Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used

Maintain positive working relationships across all of the Amazon Operations facility

Develop training plans for service technicians

Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets

Move up to 49 lbs and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Shift Schedules

Front Half Day Shift – 4 days on, 3 days off (typically Sunday to Wednesday). Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10‑hour shift with half‑hour break).

Back Half Day Shift – 4 days on, 3 days off (typically Wednesday to Saturday). Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10‑hour shift with half‑hour break).

Front Half Night Shift – 4 days on, 3 days off (typically Sunday to Wednesday). Hours: 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM (10‑hour shift with half‑hour break).

Back Half Night Shift – 4 days on, 3 days off (typically Wednesday to Saturday). Hours: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM (10‑hour shift with half‑hour break).

Basic Qualifications

1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

High school or equivalent diploma

Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

3+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience

4+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience

4+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience

4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience

5+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards

Experience in troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairs

Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Experience leading continuous process improvement in a technical support environment

4+ years of electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment experience

2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience

2+ years of programmable logic controls (PLC) programs experience

2+ years of robotics system components and controls experience

Experience managing projects

Experience acting in a shift lead capacity that supports, trains, and mentors less experienced technicians

Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME

Experience working with multiple stakeholders (Operations, Safety, etc.) to coordinate complex maintenance activities

Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field

Compensation and Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,400 per year in our lowest geographic market to $106,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
