About the Role As a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will lead service technicians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects, while training and mentoring both service and contract technicians.

Key Job Responsibilities
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building.
Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
Maintain positive working relationships across all Amazon Operations facilities.
Develop training plans for service technicians.
Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
Move up to 49 lbs and stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Typical Shifts Front Half Day Shift
Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. Common pattern: Sunday to Wednesday.
Hours: Typically 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM with a 30‑minute break.
Back Half Day Shift
Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. Often Wednesday to Saturday.
Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM with a 30‑minute break.
Front Half Night Shift
Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. Usually Sunday to Wednesday.
Hours: 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM with a 30‑minute break.
Back Half Night Shift
Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. Usually Wednesday to Saturday.
Hours: 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM with a 30‑minute break.
Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma.
1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
4+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
4+ years repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment.
4+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
4+ years demonstrating safety standards.
3+ years troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical field.
2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical/electrical experience.
Experience leading and mentoring technicians.
Experience with MHE safety standards per OEM.
Ability to troubleshoot basic input/output functions of building operations.
Experience with a CMMS.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME.
Experience coordinating complex maintenance activities with multiple stakeholders.
4+ years of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
2+ years with PLC-based controls systems.
2+ years with robotic operation and maintenance.
Project Management experience.

Compensation Base pay ranges from $75,400 per year in the lowest geographic market to $106,000 per year in the highest. Compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on skills and experience.
