Position Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor all aspects of front?line operations for the Office of the Dean of Students.
- Communicate university policies and procedures to internal and external customers.
- Serve as a liaison between the office and the university community.
- Hire and supervise student assistants.
- Assist with database management.
- Generate reports.
- Assist with the administration of student activity fees.
- Develop and recommend policies and procedures relating to student success.
Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and two years of administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
- Strong data management skills, including data entry.
- Effective customer service skills and problem?solving ability.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience communicating policies and procedures in a higher education setting.
- Ability to plan, develop, and analyze work procedures.
- Knowledge of university rules, policies, and procedures.
- Experience utilizing BANNER or other student?oriented databases.
- Ability to supervise and direct the work of others.
- Knowledge of various software and information systems, such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
