Mechanical Engineer – Tyndall AFB Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc.

Location: Panama City, FL

Base Pay Range:

$120,000 – $135,000 per year . Salary will be based on experience and discussed with manager during interview.

Requirement:

US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering services on multiple simultaneous federal projects ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in construction value.

Experience with large Federal Building Design, Medical Building Design and/or Construction Projects (at least $100 million value) is desired.

Responsible for site observation and reporting on assigned projects to government personnel.

Provide technical and administrative support, oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities per policies and regulations.

Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements and deliver recommendations to government personnel regarding compliance.

Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.

Prepare field surveillance daily detailed reports covering cost and engineering considerations.

Participate in pre‑construction conferences with government personnel.

Work with HVAC systems, system controls, building automation, chilled water, plumbing, humidification, data centers, and other complex mechanical‑engineering elements in large buildings and utility plants.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited college (preferred).

Minimum 10 years of engineering, construction and contract administration experience.

Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.

Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other federal project experience preferred.

Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.

Proficiency in English communication (oral & written) and professional presentation skills.
