Responsibilities
Lead onsite teams and supervise construction projects from start to finish.
Coordinate project schedules, sequence, and resource forecasting (manpower, equipment, material) within budget limits.
Plan and schedule on‑site operations, ensuring deadlines are met.
Prepare detailed progress reports for internal stakeholders and third‑party authorities.
Enforce health and safety standards and report issues.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, national building codes, ADA, and safety regulations.
Use scheduling software to update and track progress.
Coordinate subcontractors, perform quality control and safety checks, and provide on‑site direction.
Adapt to changes in onsite operations to meet construction deadlines.
Maintain a daily log and report to management as required.
Provide value‑engineering options to achieve efficiencies and cost savings.
Build and maintain good relations with city officials, owners, personnel, and suppliers.
Assist in site preparation for early access to leasing and marketing teams.
Requirements
5+ years onsite supervision experience in multifamily residential new‑build construction.
BS degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of building codes, ADA laws, and multifamily construction methods.
Experience in site construction, precast, wood framing, MEP trades, interior finishes, and value engineering.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Project scheduling software, Bluebeam, and Procore.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
Independent leadership of a small team throughout the construction life cycle.
Strong organizational skills and forecasting ability for upcoming scopes of work.
Flexibility to work a schedule that changes with staffing and project needs.
Entrepreneurial ownership mindset, integrity, teamwork, and a passion for company goals.
Physical capability to perform required duties, including walking up to 7 flights of stairs and conducting inspections.
Clear, professional appearance and ability to maintain onsite safety.
Build confidence with owners and developers for future project opportunities.
Location The position is based onsite at project locations. The Superintendent will be exposed to site weather and conditions and must prepare accordingly. Participation in company meetings at the corporate office is occasional.
Site Conditions Construction sites present hazards such as excessive noise, extreme temperatures, vibration, moving equipment, scaffolding, open excavations, chemicals, and potential exposure to gases. Safety is a shared responsibility, and Roers Companies will not require any employee or partner to work in an unsafe environment.
