We are seeking a
Duty Drawback & Tariff Analyst
to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the organization maximizes cost‑reduction opportunities related to freight cost, import duties, tariff classifications, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) duty drawback programs.
The ideal candidate will bring strong understanding of HTS classification, CBP regulations, import/export documentation, and duty drawback rules.

On-site Clackamas, OR Salary:
$65,000 to $90,000 DOE Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What You'll Do:
Work closely with internal and external departments such as logistics, procurement, finance, compliance, operations, and customs brokers to manage the tariff classification & compliance.
Determine correct tariff classifications for imported and exported goods. Ensure compliance with CBP, BIS, and other regulatory agencies.
Stay current with tariff changes, rulings, exclusions, and trade regulations. Monitor duty spend trends, tariff exposure, and cost‑saving opportunities.
Review commercial invoices, product specifications, and bills of materials for accurate tariff application.
Manage the company’s duty drawback program, including manufacturing, inventory, unused items, and returned goods drawback types.
Identify eligible drawback opportunities using import/export data analysis. Prepare, validate, and submit drawback claims on time.
Maintain documentation required for audit, including import entries, export records, and manufacturing process proof.
Develop dashboards (utilized Power BI and other software) or reporting tools to track drawback claim status and financial impact.
Lead freight cost analysis (domestic and international) within all shipping activities and explore cost saving opportunities.
Preferred Experience & Abilities:
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or progress toward certification.
Experience in manufacturing or import/export‑heavy industries.
Familiarity with free trade agreements (USMCA, etc.).
ERP or trade compliance software experience.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2–5+ years of experience in customs compliance, tariff classification, or duty drawback.
2–5 years of experience working with customs brokers or ACE systems.
2–5 years of experience working with supply chain or freight analysis.
Strong analytical skills with Excel or BI tools.
