POSITION SUMMARY The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales opportunities in the assigned Eastern region through prospecting, cold calling, trade show attendance, and other networking activities. Leveraging the Vortakt brand reputation and internal application engineering expertise and tools, develop proposals and other sales materials. This role ensures the smooth flow of products and information across the organization by providing exceptional customer service, planning, and clear communication. They will deliver accurate, timely quotes, work closely with Production to align capacity and delivery expectations, and offer technical support for customer issues. This position requires travel within the territory to visit potential and existing customers approximately 25% of the time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Identify and develop new customer relationships and market opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with previous, current, and future customers. Qualify leads, conduct customer visits, and present proposals for our products, understanding customer technical needs to recommend appropriate solutions

Generate accurate and timely quotes using standard pricing tools. For non-standard requests, work with application engineering and sales staff to develop customized proposals

Handle service inquiries, collaborating with division staff to resolve customer issues effectively

Expedite orders to ensure accurate and timely shipment and delivery of products to customers. Proactively follow up on opportunities and provide detailed feedback

Maintain and update an effective, accurate database of customer contacts

Participate in trade shows and make recommendations for advertising and marketing programs within the territory

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree in business management, sales, or marketing, plus 3-5 years' experience in B2B sales, machine tool sales, or a similar industry. Equivalent experience considered

Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the work time to the Eastern region and at times across the nation and internationally as needed

Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in firearms, with the ability to understand and discuss technical aspects of products

High energy, self-directed, with the ability to work productively unsupervised

Resourceful, well organized, dependable, efficient, strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail

Professional attitude and the ability to represent our company with integrity

Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel) as well as a CRM package

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Occasionally required to lift 25 pounds unassisted

Regularly sits for extended periods of time

Regularly tours current customer and potential customer worksites whose environments introduce varying degrees of unknown physical requirements and working conditions

Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision, and close focus

Regularly operates a computer and computer accessories
