Join Alacrity Solutions (formerly Property Damage Appraisers) as an Independent Field Auto Appraiser in Seattle, WA. This independent contractor position offers flexible scheduling and a potential annual earnings range of $85K – $165K.
Contract Description Automakers provide electronic estimates for repair costs. As an estimator, you verify and provide accurate estimates for vehicle repairs, reviewing each assignment by speaking with owners, researching records, and inspecting the property to the satisfaction of the client or claimant.
Contract Requirements
1+ year field claims experience including auto claims.
Electronic estimating experience using Mitchell, CCC, Audatex, or similar.
1+ year strong customer service and conflict resolution competency.
Self‑motivated ability to work independently.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and adaptability.
Device capable of taking quality photos and transmitting them.
Requirements
Promptly handle assignments to conclusion and make decisions within delegated authority.
Maintain current knowledge of local repair procedures and market pricing.
Working knowledge of Department of Insurance and state regulations.
Submit detailed inspections, reports summarizing damages, and potential open items.
Identify questionable damages and communicate findings.
Use Optimizer Automation tool to plan routes.
Inspect all angles of vehicle, both interior and exterior.
Determine repair requirements and cost estimates, and negotiate operations and costs.
Deliver positive customer service to clients.
Meet cycle‑time and quality KPIs.
Articulate decisions verbally and in writing.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
Professional business attire and appearance.
Education & Licensure
State licensing required if applicable.
Appraiser’s license, Adjuster’s license, or I‑CAR certification preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Previous auto estimating experience required.
Experience with Mitchell, CCC, Audatex a plus.

Working Conditions
100% travel within designated territory.
Drive up to 8 hours daily and perform physical inspections.
Work outdoors in all weather, occasional catastrophic loss events.
Willingness to work irregular hours and overnight travel.
