JOB SUMMARY The business development manager will focus on the growth of midweek (Sunday – Thursday) business for the Atlantic City Market by looking for opportunities and forming strategic partnerships.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

The Business Development Sales Manager would maintain a quarterly business development strategy approved by the Director of Sales. The strategy would support all Atlantic City midweek opportunities and would be aimed at uncovering “new opportunities” that lead to RFP’s and ultimately contracted business with new accounts. Once a “new opportunity” is identified, the Business Development Sales Manager would log an inquiry in Delphi.

Then turn over to the appropriate Sales Manager to further qualify, develop the relationship, and book the business. When a new RFP is uncovered, the responsibility of the proposal, negotiations, and contracting would sit with the Property, National, or Regional Sales Manager who would maintain 100% credit for the new lead. A new opportunity is defined as: An account that has never booked definite business at a CET Atlantic City property. An account with no Atlantic City Sales Manager prospecting activities within the past two years. An account that hasn’t actualized within the past two years and does not have any Atlantic City Sales Manager future activity or future definite business. Any opportunities that the DOS approves outside of the above parameters.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Identify 30 - 60 new accounts per quarter to research and make connections via phone and email. Logging activities in Delphi to support your outreach efforts. Identify a minimum of 10 leads, midweek business, for the Atlantic City Market per quarter. Inquiries must have qualified information, and the Business Development Sales Manager must coordinate an introduction.
