Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
- Oversee assigned meals following menu schedule
- Ensure food is prepared and served at scheduled times
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order
- Comply with OSHA and food service standards
- Enforce personal hygiene and appropriate attire requirements
Supervision & Training
- Supervise kitchen helpers during Chef's absence
- Train and oversee beneficiaries in kitchen duties
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols
- Fill in for Resident Manager as needed (evening/overnight shift)
Facility Management
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Monitor food safety and storage standards
- Assist with inventory management
- Support overall kitchen operations
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited food service program preferred
- Six months institutional cooking experience preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication skills in English
- Basic computer proficiency
- Basic math skills
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to follow food safety protocols
