At Gorman & Company, we take pride in creating and maintaining communities where people feel at home. We're looking for a skilled, Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Lafayette Apartments location, a brand-new 54-unit affordable housing community opening this spring.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled, hands-on technician who would like to be a part in launching a community serving individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness - making a meaningful impact from day one.
What You'll Do:
Perform skilled maintenance and repair work across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, and general building systems.
Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and independently.
Prepare apartments for new residents and ensure property curb appeal.
Maintain common areas and grounds, including seasonal upkeep.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls with professionalism and urgency.
Collaborate with vendors and property teams to ensure smooth operations.
What You'll Bring:
Two or more years of maintenance experience in property management or a related trade.
Valid driver's license, insurance, and an insurable driving record.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
EPA HVAC Type ll or Universal, or CPO certification preferred.
Strong communication skills, customer service mindset, and the ability to work independently.
