We're looking for a skilled, Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Lafayette Apartments location, a brand-new 54-unit affordable housing community opening this spring.This is a great opportunity for a skilled, hands-on technician who would like to be a part in launching a community serving individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness - making a meaningful impact from day one.**What You'll Do:*** Perform skilled maintenance and repair work across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance, and general building systems.* Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and independently.* Prepare apartments for new residents and ensure property curb appeal.* Maintain common areas and grounds, including seasonal upkeep.* Respond to emergency maintenance calls with professionalism and urgency.* Collaborate with vendors and property teams to ensure smooth operations.**What You'll Bring:*** Two or more years of maintenance experience in property management or a related trade.* Valid driver's license, insurance, and an insurable driving record.* Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.* EPA HVAC Type ll or Universal, or CPO certification preferred.* Strong communication skills, customer service mindset, and the ability to work independently.**Why You'll Love Working With Gorman:*** Competitive salary starting at $20-$23 per hour.* Work Life Balance with part-time hours (20 hours/week).* 401(k) plan with a 6% company match.* EAP Program.* Team Member Development and Training.**Gorman & Company is an Equal Employment Affirmative Action Employer**. #J-18808-Ljbffr
