Responsibilities

Sourcing, ordering, tracking, and reconciling flooring materials, installation supplies, and related services.

Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders for flooring products (hardwood, tile, carpet, vinyl), adhesives, underlayment, and installation tools.

Ensuring timely delivery to warehouses, job sites, or installation partners.

Resolving order discrepancies, including pricing, quantities, damages, and backorders.

Maintaining accurate purchasing documentation and order histories.

Communicating daily with flooring manufacturers, distributors, and specialty suppliers.

Requesting quotes, comparing pricing, and supporting cost‑saving initiatives.

Tracking supplier performance, including lead times, accuracy, and service issues.

Assisting with onboarding new flooring vendors.

Monitoring inventory levels for flooring SKUs and replenishing stock based on usage and forecasts.

Coordinating special orders for custom flooring or non‑stock items.

Flagging material shortages or delays before they impact installation schedules.

Building new SKUs and obtaining pricing for estimating and new customers.

Assisting Supply Chain Manager with new market launch initiatives.

Assisting in maintaining and updating the product catalog.

Matching vendor prices and invoices to purchase orders and receipts.

Assisting with cost tracking, budget compliance, and margin protection.

Preparing daily/weekly purchasing and vendor reporting.

Qualifications

Entry level experience in purchasing or supply chain roles.

Full‑time availability.

Knowledge of construction or flooring industry preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and proactive approach to problem solving.

Compensation:

$126,000.00 – $157,500.00 per year
