Mortgage Loan Officer - Flexibility to Work from Home - Richmond Area
We are a small but growing mortgage brokerage that has recently invested thousands into new software, a new website, and new marketing campaigns, including social media. Applicants will be the first to be considered for promotion and growth roles with the company. Future roles include a sales manager and an operations manager as the company grows.

Responsibilities
Contact and pitch realtors on using our company to help their clients with their mortgage needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their mortgage needs and provide appropriate loan solutions.
Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on creditworthiness, income, and other factors.
Guide clients through the loan application process, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other internal teams to assist with timely and accurate loan processing.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process, addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices.
Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting loan programs and services.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of mortgage sales and loan processing.
Familiarity with industry software such as Arive and Lender Price (not required).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
Ability to analyze client's credit profile and make informed lending decisions.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously.
Proficient in negotiating terms and conditions of loans within established guidelines.
Knowledge of federal regulations, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements.
Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines.

While this is a remote position, we are ideally looking for someone located in the Richmond, VA area or surrounding counties (Hanover, Chesterfield, Henrico).
This is currently a 100% commission role, but we aim to quickly add a base salary once the candidate's sales are established.
