We are working with a reputable construction company in the San Antonio market seeking an experienced
Construction Superintendent
to lead
commercial construction projects
from the field.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a proven background running commercial jobsites, managing subcontractors, and driving schedule, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day field operations on
commercial construction projects
Manage jobsite safety, scheduling, and construction sequencing
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors
Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
Conduct quality control inspections and manage punch lists
Drive project schedules and proactively resolve field challenges
Partner closely with Project Managers and project teams
Participate in preconstruction planning and constructability reviews
Oversee project closeout and turnover
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
Proven experience with
ground‑up and/or complex commercial builds
Background across commercial sectors such as:
Office
Retail
Healthcare
Hospitality
Industrial
Education
Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
Deep understanding of construction sequencing and means & methods
OSHA certification preferred
