Lincoln Electric, a leader in welding and cutting solutions based in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. This role involves developing cutting-edge mechanical designs and solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our products. The ideal candidate will contribute to all phases of the product lifecycle, from research and development to testing and deployment, driving forward-thinking in our design methodologies. Design, develop, and enhance mechanical components, systems, and products using CAD tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sales, and customer support to meet product specifications and requirements. Conduct analytical simulations and physical testing to verify design performance. Prepare detailed technical documentation including design plans, product specifications, and maintenance manuals. Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Stay updated on industry standards and technology advancements to incorporate best practices in design processes. Proficient in CAD software, especially SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of material properties and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Solid understanding of engineering principles and mechanical design standards. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) is advantageous.
