Assembly Associate
As an Assembly Associate, you will prepare work by studying assembly instructions, assembly drawings, and parts lists. You will gather parts, sub-assemblies, tools, hardware, and materials, position and install parts, and sub-assemblies using tools and reading measurements. Your role includes working on an assembly line to add components to a frame and assemble chairs. Responsibilities
Work as part of a team to assemble and prepare smaller parts and components for final product assembly. Assemble wheels per job instructions and work on the assembly line to add components to the frame. Prepare materials by cutting parts to size, fitting components together using a press, bonding, hardware, hand tools, or power tools. Build larger quantities of components for stock or for specific individual products. Acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Work on routine assignments requiring limited judgment with detailed instructions. Review drawings and instructions before each build and acquire necessary parts, hardware, and tools. Assemble components or parts according to specifications or work instructions. Identify, record, and report any product defects. Complete required quality and production forms and monitor inventory at your station. Ensure a clean and safe working environment. Learn and understand core values, and work overtime as assigned. Essential Skills
Sub-assembly, hand and power tools, general labor, assembly, assembly line, RF scanner, picking, packing, loading, material handling, production, shipping, hand tool, mechanical, mechanical assembly, power tool, warehouse operations. Ability to work as part of a team with close supervision. Effective time management skills and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to read and understand instructions and documents. Proficiency in English, both written and oral. Basic math skills. High school diploma or equivalent. 0-3 years of assembly or equivalent experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications
