Manual Machinist
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist who will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing manual lathes. The ideal candidate will be able to fit parts and hold tolerances within.001-.005 inches, monitor fixturing and work-holding methods, and set up and run concurrent jobs on multiple machines. Additionally, the role involves performing in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height stands, as well as performing periodic preventative maintenance on equipment. Responsibilities: Operate, maintain, and repair manual lathes. Fit parts and hold tolerance within.001-.005 inches. Monitor fixturing and work-holding methods. Setup and run concurrent jobs on multiple machines. Perform in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment. Perform periodic preventative maintenance on equipment, including daily cleaning and maintenance checklists. Essential Skills: Proficiency in manual machining and operation of turning centers. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with manual mills and lathes. Skill in mill turning and manual lathe operations.
