PRODUCTION MANAGER
for our Fremont, OH client. Must come for a Tier 1 or 2 Automotive Company. Position Summary
Responsible for leading all manufacturing operations—molding through final assembly—to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications. This role drives quality compliance, lean initiatives, standardized work, and team capability across shifts. Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations (molding and final assembly) to deliver quality products that meet customer requirements. Evaluate employee capabilities and ensure effective training on equipment, materials, quality standards,, and processes. Ensure all shipped product meets customer specifications and that production follows all applicable quality system requirements. Communicate and enforce operating policies and procedures across production teams. Champion lean manufacturing initiatives across all areas of the plant. Develop, implement, and sustain standardized work for all processes. Implement, maintain, and continuously improve 5S systems. Manage and support shift supervisors, process technicians, and lead hands; provide leadership on production scheduling, quality issues, and employee relations. Actively participate in plant safety programs; ensure production areas and housekeeping meet safety expectations. Support Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) responsibilities as assigned. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ production management experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing methods (Lean/TPS, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma). Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements and procedures. Proven leadership, team-building, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical thinking and general business acumen. Demonstrated coaching, supervisory, and interpersonal capabilities. High comfort using CMS/ERP systems for scheduling, production control, estimating, and inventory. Track record of driving continuous improvement and cost reduction. Knowledge of current safety, environmental, and employment legislation. Direct Reports
