RESPONSIBILITIES
Exceeds tonnage sales and margin objectives/goals assigned by Foodservice Corporate Management.
Identifies and prioritizes chain account customers within an assigned area and develops a short- and long-range strategic plan based around these priority customers, including both a direct customer list and a list to be handled by local foodservice management.
Establishes direct working relationships and develops linkage with the priority chain account customers.
Develops, manages and coordinates custom or proprietary type products with the priority customers identified and/or assigned; done in conjunction with Hormel's Asst VP of National Accounts, Foodservice Marketing Team, R&D, Culinary Chefs, Operations, Cost Accounting, Marketing Services, Legal, Packaging and Logistics.
Recommends, implements, manages and explores profitable customized programs and pricing strategies for key priority chain accounts consistent with company policies and profitability plans; disciplined in a price focused marketplace and implements the selling principles in conjunction with all pricing and programs and is committed to solution-based selling.
Manages all administrative responsibilities, including entering information on SalesForce on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, along with handling all special requests within the deadlines established consistent with all company policies.
Controls and manages operating expenses to include samples, travel, entertainment, chain account conferences, and freight.
Works with corporate office sales and marketing management with a consistent weekly flow of pertinent information concerning product movement/inventories/distribution/competitive activity/plus chain account reactions and trends.
Requires 50-70% travel.
QUALIFICATIONS Required
A minimum of 4 years of Foodservice sales experience.
A proven track record of sales success calling on National/Regional chain accounts.
A pattern of initiative in sales or in a previous management assignment.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
A pattern of strong goal setting and results accountability.
Proven ability to establish strategic selling initiatives.
Highly developed interpersonal and persuasive skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree.
LOCATION This role may work out of a home office in one of these locations: Orlando, FL, Tampa, FL, or Atlanta, GA.
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $111,500 - $156,200 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
Other components of Hormel Foods' total compensation package include comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, discretionary annual merit increases, bonuses and profit sharing, 401(k) with employer match, stock purchase plan, relocation assistance, paid vacation, FREE two-year community/technical college tuition for children of employees, and more.
