SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees across multiple SONIC drive-ins. Your responsibilities include training and supporting employees to ensure quality food, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency, providing guests with an enjoyable experience. The key duties include:

  1. Managing, training, and coaching General Managers and conducting management orientation.
  2. Directing and assigning employees to meet operational standards.
  3. Overseeing employees in various stations (Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, etc.) to ensure food quality, presentation, and service standards are met.
  4. Ensuring compliance with employee handbook policies and practices.
  5. Addressing employee issues and policy violations promptly.
  6. Reviewing work schedules to ensure proper staffing.
  7. Monitoring cost control procedures and taking corrective actions as needed.
  8. Auditing employment and payroll records.
  9. Focusing on guest satisfaction and responding to escalated complaints appropriately.
  10. Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
  11. Approving employee and management compensation within guidelines.
  12. Preparing operational reports and developing action plans to improve financial and sales performance.
  13. Implementing regional marketing plans.

Additional Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
  • At least three years of restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
  • Experience in multi-unit supervision is preferred.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 5 days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of recruiting, labor laws, health and sanitation regulations.
  • Leadership, communication, basic accounting, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and solve problems effectively.
  • Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.
