
Investor Relations Associate

Summary
The position is based in Tampa, Florida, and reports to Investor Relations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for value investing, a high level of integrity, and will put the needs of our clients first.
Responsibilities
Develop a deep knowledge of Kopernik’s investment philosophy, process, and products, including an understanding of the target end market.
Utilize a consultative approach to position Kopernik’s investment platform via phone and email; the goal is to “know your client” and help them thoroughly understand Kopernik.
With guidance of the external sales partner, cultivate new business opportunities and maintain assigned intermediate relationships, proactively driving activity through outbound calls, emails, and digital campaigns to clients/prospects.
Utilize SalesForce CRM platform to input and maintain client profile information, maintain a prospect pipeline, and manage marketing campaigns and databases.
Proactively support sales activities which may include handling meeting coverage requirements, preparing due diligence meetings, preparing and ordering proposal materials, providing assigned external partner with communication and talking points on the portfolio and help plan/coordinate client events during CIO/PM visits to territory.
The position provides the opportunity to become the main contact for specific clients/prospects.
Maintain and strengthen knowledge base regarding all aspects of the investment industry, competitors, and products available in the securities marketplace.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required.
FINRA series 7 license is required.
B2B sales and cold calling experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and contribute to a teambased environment.
Professionalism, positive attitude, perseverance, mental toughness, and initiative in the face of challenges; must be able to take direction and accept constructive criticism.
Sales desk experience and general knowledge of financial markets, investment concepts, and related industry regulations.
Well‑organized with attention to detail.
Experience working with marketing database platforms (e.g., eVestment, Morningstar) and CRM platforms (Salesforce, MARS) is a plus.
Additional Requirements
This is not a remote position and will require relocation if not already local to the Tampa, FL area.
Being authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship is a precondition of employment.
