Overview
The Heirloom Restaurant at the Athenaeum Hotel offers seasonal, on-site employment for a Server. The restaurant operates during the nine-week summer season with daily dining (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and pre-season/post-season hours (May and September) on Thursdays to Sundays for lunch and dinner. Locations: New York State - Hotel 3, The Athenaeum Hotel, 3 S Lake Dr, Chautauqua, NY 14722, USA. Responsibilities
Set and reset section tables according to restaurant standards. Thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menus, specials, and ability to up-sell. Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills and use appropriate hospitality language. Accurately take guest orders and transfer to the POS system. Understand service times and assist with delivery of orders. Know and execute proper wine service. Know and execute Heirloom table service procedures. Have a basic understanding of the Athenaeum Hotel's history and services within Chautauqua Institution. Perform server check-out report shift activities. All other duties as assigned. Compensation
Compensation is $10.70/hour plus tipped earnings. Employees who work in a non-tipped capacity for 20%+ of their shift, attend required events such as orientation or training, or do not average minimum wage with their combined tipped income each week will be paid a minimum wage of $16.00/hour. About Your Work Day] Seasonal work during summer operations from June to August, with potential pre-season and post-season based on business needs. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Typically six- or eight-hour shifts with start times between 5am and 5pm.
