Description and Qualifications
These Wait Staff positions are responsible for the dining room services in the Main House Dining Room. The Main House Dining Room positions are based on a tier system designed to inspire growth and development. Promotional positions available upon completion of the tiered system could include Captain (Supervisor), Bartender, Front of House Host/Hostess, Sommelier positions.
1st Tier: Steward Steward is responsible for learning the setup of the dining room, this includes polishing glassware and silverware, table set-up and rolling silverware. Position lasts approximately 2-4 weeks and serves as an introduction to the dining room.
2nd Tier: Food Runner Food Runner is responsible for gaining intensive food knowledge and delivering plates from chefs to the guests’ table.
3rd Tier: Back Waiter Back Waiter is responsible for learning basic bar and wine knowledge, table maintenance and menu knowledge. Back Waiter is responsible for ensuring each assigned table in the Dining Room is served according to the service sequence and each guest is given an outstanding 5 star dining experience.
4th Tier: Front Waiter Front Waiter is responsible for taking orders, section management and full command of menu and execution of wine pairings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Polish glasses and silverware, ensuring that there are no spots
Light cleaning: vacuum, sweep, mop
Do table set‑ups
Bus tables
Fold napkins and roll silverware
Complete task list by the end of the shift unless otherwise specified by manager
Menu Knowledge of the menus within your restaurant
All dining room positions will be asked to perform additional sanitation procedures throughout their shift in order to comply with COVID-19 guidance
Must comply with all company policies and procedures. To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and predictable attendance is required. Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE No requirements
LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and managers
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic knowledge and understanding of math
REASONING ABILITY Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand on feet for a long period of time
Must be able to safely operate a golf cart
