Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, while supporting team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details

Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 to $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.

Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.

This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

Average weekly hours for this position are between 10 – 12 hours per week.

Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day engagement: Utilize a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys. Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers, and oversee the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.

Holiday support: Hallmark’s seasonal demand requires additional days and extended hours leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On some holidays you may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.

Department resets: Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Notify two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.

Team vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you join a network of merchandisers who support each other across territories as needed.

Physical Requirements This physically demanding job requires a high level of energy and sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must also kneel, squat, walk, and stand, and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications

Age 18 or older.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Capability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device for opening, reading, and interpreting documents.

Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.

Access to reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
