JR100102**BANQUET SERVER****3% QUARTERLY ATTENDANCE BONUS****As a Banquet Server on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:*** Review and understand Banquet Event Orders or Event Plan to ensure banquet rooms are set as per the customer request.* Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts and cordial carts.* Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting and ensure guest satisfaction throughout meal service.* Deliver and serve welcome drinks, food, meals, condiments, and accompaniments etc.* Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation.* Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area.* Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.* Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the banquet/meeting rooms.* Other duties may be required and assigned from time-to-time.**The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:*** One to two years of experience in a similar role in an upscale hotel.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.* Use judgement and reasoning to cope with emergencies.* Knowledge and understanding of various banquet and food service techniques and standards.* Good personality and positive interpersonal skills.* Dependability and regular attendance.* Ability to work evenings and weekends.* Pay starting at $9/Hour plus gratuity* 401K+ Match (up to 6%)* Employee Assistance Program* 9 ½ Paid HolidaysEmbassy Suites is owned and operated by Gorman & Company.
