Job Overview
Gerber Collision & Glass, one of North America’s largest collision repair companies, is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. Key Responsibilities
Execute WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently. Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers. Repair dents and dimples; mix and apply filler resins when needed. Realign car chassis and frames to address structural damage. Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and windshields. Replace or repair interior parts as required. Weld and attach parts, prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified or agreed paint. Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer. Required Skills and Abilities
Read job orders and work with minimal supervision. Collaborate with other repairers in a shop setting. Understand methods and procedures for vehicle body repair. Understand how to use trade tools. Other Requirements
Work safely in a noisy area with many odors. Lift up to 30 pounds at times. Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions. Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections. Benefits
