Your Impact A Server in Senior Living plays a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience. We are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of seniors and promoting healthy food choices.
Wage range: $16.50+ per hour, depending on prior experience (this is a non‑tipped role)
Available Schedules: 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm or 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Your contributions are:
Greet residents, guests and family members in a prompt, professional and courteous manner, and escort for proper seating
Take, prepare, and serve beverage orders
Take orders and process transactions, using the Point‑of‑Sale System
Prepare and serve orders, according to the established health and presentation standards
Clear and clean dining room tables in a prompt and efficient manner
Sanitize and clean the pantry, kitchen, and dining room areas, as outlined according to health and safety standards
Perform side‑work and any opening and closing duties as required, such as dishes are washed, and stations areas are clean and organized, salad prep
Alert management to any customer food, service or safety concerns
Ensure guest satisfaction with excellent customer service skills
Other duties as assigned
Physical and Sensory Requirements Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service. Lifting, carrying trays and boxes, up to 25lbs. Push / Pull Food Hot Boxes up to 50lbs. Bend, stoop for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment. Manual dexterity for the use of kitchen utensils and tools. Visuals for reading menus, labels, and directions. Hearing to respond to verbal communications. Taste and Smell to assess food quality, freshness, and adherence to dietary requirements. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
Ensuring that diet aides meet these physical and sensory requirements is crucial to their ability to contribute effectively to the well‑being of senior residents in a senior living community.
What you will need
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Prior experience with one‑on‑one customer service interaction preferred.
Strong teamwork skills.
Successful background check and drug screen, state‑specific
Health screening and TB tests, state‑specific
ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card, state‑specific.
Alcohol awareness certification is state‑specific, pending age.
The ability to work holiday and weekend shift schedules.
