We are looking for a highly motivated

Oiler and Fueler

to add to our Shop team located in Salisbury, NC. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail, outstanding time management and communication skills, a commitment to exceptional employee support, and the ability to build relationships at every level of the organization.

Responsibilities

Support direct supervisor and adhere to direction.

Communicate with supervisor and job site foreman to maintain high efficiency of fueling operations.

Travel to job sites and complete fuel, oil, and greasing operations on equipment and vehicles.

Complete daily DOT required information, truck inspections, and timecard.

Travel to various locations around the front range in fuel truck provided by HEI Civil.

Work during hours directed by HEI Civil to keep our fleet running daily.

Work independently or with fellow employees, contractors, etc.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Works well independently and has a passion to learn.

Good organization skills and follow through.

Alert, focused, and detail oriented.

Disciplined, dependable, accountable, and punctual.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Basic understanding of safe work practices.

Basic understanding of Caterpillar and construction equipment, principles, and procedures.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License.

Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (Fueler required).

Experience driving on and off-road commercial vehicles on construction sites a plus.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of driving a truck.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds at times.

Must be able to walk on uneven and muddy surfaces.

Able to climb up and down equipment using cable ladders, steps, and equipment tracks or tires all while carrying a liquid filled diesel hose in a safe manner. The drag weight of a hose could reach up to 100+ pounds.

Work Environment

Indoors – prolonged periods of driving a vehicle under various weather conditions.

Outdoors – various weather conditions ranging from extreme cold weather to extreme heat.

Hours of operation: 4 pm to 2 am subject to change
