Job Description
The Salon Stylist is located at the AG Retail location and reports directly to the Sales Manager. This position is responsible for delivering friendly and informative salon services while adapting to changing business needs. What Your Impact Will Be
Provide girl and doll salon services to customers ensuring a high‑level experience at American Girl. Perform a broad range of styles and work with various hair lengths, types, and textures. Answer guest questions, provide general customer assistance, style hair according to company standards, resolve customer issues, conduct inventory of salon supplies, stock the area, clean, sanitize, maintain workspace, and communicate needs to management. Receive training and certification to perform ear‑piercing services. Follow the ear‑piercing procedure checklist, complete waivers, and review after‑care procedures with guests. Qualifications
Valid Cosmetology license for hair and nails in the practicing state. Ability and experience styling hair in various styles and performing nail services. High energy, with experience in a fast‑paced service environment and a passion for quality. Willingness to perform girl ear‑piercing services. Organizational skills, inventory management, and professional relationship skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Experience working with children preferred. Compensation
