Job Description:
Assist attorney in preparation of immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions
Draft, review, and prepare legal documents for visa types such as E-1, E-2, E-3, H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, I-140, PERM Labor Certification (ETA-9089), AOS (Adjustment of Status), N-400 Naturalization filings, and family-based Adjustment of Status filings
Manage a caseload of visa matters utilizing case management software
Communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues
Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing and RFE Responses
Draft petitions, applications, and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification
Learn procedural and processing requirements for various types of visa petitions
Conduct legal research on immigration regulations and procedures
Review and approve client billing under supervision of partner or attorney
Work closely in team environment, while building knowledge of firm and client processes
Contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the firm’s workflow
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); 3 years of experience in a professional immigration environment preferred
Demonstrated client service focus
Excellent oral, writing, research, organizational, and proofreading skills
